Traveling has always been a passion of mine since I was a child. Traveling is more than just fun or educational; it is the key, literally, to new possibilities, perspectives and a world outside your own. If you are new to the wanderlust bug and aren’t sure where to start, check out my top 10 travel spots (in no particular order). Let us know what your favorite is!

Cambridge, England

28 years ago I made my debut on earth in this city. This is one of my most favorite places to go! Cambridge is a city on the River Cam and is surrounded by Universities, museums and restaurants. Cambridge is known for housing one of the top five universities in the world. Take a boat trip down the river and explore the castle like schools.

Sydney, Australia

Surfs up! Sydney is amazing! From the Opera House and Darling Harbor, to the Harbor Bridge, beaches, botanical gardens and theater, there is so much to do! You can take in a rugby match, or enjoy freshly caught seafood. Sydney is perfect for families and singles alike!

Paris, France

paris

It’s true what they say about Paris; that you will absolutely fall in love. I sure did! Walking around the streets of Paris has a comforting feeling. Bakeries on every corner, beautiful stands filled with fresh produce and cafés, outstanding architecture, and tiny streets that seem to hug you when you walk by. This city is a hub for fashion, art and gastronomy. Paris has more to offer than the stunning landmark Eiffel Tower. Take a stroll down the river Seine with a picnic basket in hand; sit down, relax, and take in the beauty around you.

Salamanca, Spain

This melting pot of a city is part of a region in Spain called “Castilla y Leon.” Salamanca has seen many different inhabitants throughout its time, including Romans, Moors and Spaniards, which, through the many feats of architecture, you can see.  Enjoy a day in the Plaza Mayor, or visit one of the many tienda’s de jamon.

Whistler, British Columbia

Whistler offers some of the best skiing in the world. For those of you who embrace the winter and its activities like me, Whistler is the place for you. It has the perfect backdrop for a romantic weekend getaway, or a trip for the whole family to enjoy. Don’t forget to pack warm!

Acadia, Maine

I first came here around Thanksgiving time. The air was crisp, the town quaint, and the vAcadiaWinter_WEB-22iews were stunning. Acadia hosts dramatic sea side cliffs which offer rock climbing for all ages and fitness levels. While in Maine try a infamous lobster roll! I recommend checking out ‘Sawyers Lobster Pound,’ where fresh seafood is not an issue. This 50’s style diner serves freshly picked lobster on top of a hot-dog style bun. This dish is to die for.

Rajasthan, India

Rajasthan is my favorite part of India. Literally meaning “Land of Kings,” Rajasthan is India’s largest state with many palaces and forts as a reminder of the different kingdoms  viDecorated_Indian_elephanted for its land. Take in a traditional puppet show, or an elephant ride up to Amer Fort and pretend you are a royal. Visit local trade shops producing handmade leheria (a traditional style of tie dye) cotton or silk cloths.

Seattle, Washington

Seattle is the most under-rated city in the US to me. It often is overlooked due to its gloomy weather, but it has so much to offer! Take a trip on an underground tour in Pioneer Square, check out the city views at the top of the Space Needle, or rock out at the Experience Music Project. The emerald city holds thousands of acres of mountains and forests; beauty is not at a minimum here. Seattle has an amazing food scene also. If you are a newbie I would recommend hitting up Pike Place and checking out the food treasures that lie within the stalls of the market.

Bajamar, Mexico

If relaxing is all that’s on the agenda, this is the place for you. Bajamar is a seaside resort community with breathtaking ocean views. You can rent a house in the communbajamarity and easily access the Ensenada town center, which is filled with lively restaurants and plenty of tourist amenities. Do all your grocery shopping prior to checking into your seaside house so you can spend more time relaxing and enjoying the ocean views on the roof-top decks.

Saint Thomas, Caribbean

This little island is the gateway to the U.S. Virgin Islands. Saint Thomas holds a busy cruise port and is known for is gorgeous beaches. The island itself is only 32 square miles in size but is loaded with action packed activities such as snorkeling, hiking, diving, fishing, the list goes on! St. Thomas has a history of commerce making shopping and finding  a great bargain on luxury items here very easy and accessible
