Sweet & Spicy Tomato Chutney Pizza Sauce

Sweet & Spicy Tomato Chutney Pizza Sauce

Let me start by saying…chutney’s are LIFE.

For all you chutney newbies, chutney is a condiment, usually spicy or sweet (or both), made with fruits, veggies and spices.

I love me a good chutney. Some of my favorites are among the most popular like cucumber, mint, cilantro, coconut, and of course tomato!

Since chutney’s are so versatile, they pair really well with sweet and savory foods and are great accompaniments to really, any type of dish.

Growing up my mom used to make this REALLY spicy tomato chutney, with fresh green chilies, onions…. I remember making it with her and literally licking the spoon every time I went to stir.

THIS chutney isn’t as spicy, but it is definitely that good.

I like this sweet and spicy chutney as the base of a pizza, here. Mozzarella just cries for this sauce, but if pizza isn’t your thing, add it to a cracker as a snack, or mix in with fresh pesto and toss with pasta!

I hope you enjoy this one.

Happy Eating.

Nothing can beat the taste of sweet and spicy chutney in pizzas. I always think what will happen to pizza if there will not be any chutney. I just loved the recipe you provided. I will definitely try it out.

This is such a cool and unique recipe! I used to think chutney was an ingredient, not a condiment, so I definitely benefitted from a refresher course.

And I’ve always loved it very spicy! Especially in pizza. My favorite pizza flavour has always been chicken periperi just because it’s so spicy. So yes, I’m in for this chutney.
