Must Haves for Pregnancy: Part 2

Must Haves for Pregnancy

We GOT INTO IT last week, with Part 1 of my pregnancy must haves, HERE.

Not fucking around this week either. Let’s jump right in with part 2.

Blanqi Maternity Leggings

The one thing I have been LIVING in during this quarantine and pregnancy are leggings. I mean what else do you wear when you are sitting at home ALL DAY?

Blanqi is all about compression wear, which has been a god send with this growing belly. It keeps the belly UP, IN and SUPPORTED.

The leggings are full coverage and have an anchor to lift and help redistribute your weight. They are super stretchy and curve in the back so that your lower back is supported.

+ they feel like butter!!!

The one drawback to these leggings are that they come in 5 different colors, 4 of which have been sold out for over 4 months. I’m really getting sick and tired of them saying how “fast the colored ones sell out.”

They literally have been sold out for 4 months without a restock in sight.

I settled for the (boring) black ones – but I do love them, so the color will have to do.

*le sigh*

Tiger Balm

I’ve been using this shit since I was a KID.

Smells like extra strength menthol but works like a fucking charm.

It’s made with herbal ingredients which are V safe for pregnant women and help to sooth aches and pains.

I have J rub down my back (especially my lower back) once a night.

There is quite a bit of front loading going on, like quite literally, so my back is always in pain.

Make your hubby or partner or friend, or mom, or WHOEVER, give you a massage with this stuff.

You won’t be disappointed.

One a Day Prenatal Vitamin

One a Day Prenatal is my vitamin of choice. There are a million different prenatal’ s you can take…plant based, just folic acid, gummies, flavored…whatever…..

A prenatal is just something you have to test with your OWN BODY.

I don’t get a yucky taste in my mouth when I take it (although I know women who don’t like this brand because it leaves a weird taste for them) + it has Folic Acid, Omega 3 DHA, Calcium and Iron all in ONE pill.

AND. You only have to take it once a day…hence the name…

Again. Do your own research and figure out what is going to be best for YOU.

SKIMS Smooth Essentials Boy Shorts

I love Kim K and the whole family, so naturally I gravitated towards this product.

BUT, before you say anything, these panties are the BEST. They are butter on your butt…if you know what I mean. Hehe.

Must Haves for Pregnancy

They are made from silk stretch fabric, so the panties stretch with your growing body. They also have plenty of support, are panty line free and are a mid-rise so that they can sit naturally at your wait, or right under your belly button.

They feel like a full coverage underwear, without feeling like you’re wearing granny panties, you know?

These panties are literally MADE for pregnant women.

Manduka Yoga Mat

My favorite yoga mat that I have been working out on all quarantine long!

I try to work out 3-5 times a week, with a mix of HITT, by Orange Theory Fitness and Prenatal Yoga by Alo.

Manduka has lots of cushion and support, they are also sourced responsibly and made from all-natural rubber that don’t slip around when you are working out.

The grip is GOOD, so you can sweat all over that mat girl!

SO those are the products that I am LIVING for during this pregnancy.

What do you guys recommend? Am I missing anything?

Love you guys,

Xx

Tiger Balm is one of my essentials for life, it’s saved me from aches, pains and even bug bites more times that I can remember and I find the smell really comforting. In fact I might go pop some on a sore spot on my heel right now! Love the sound of the SKIMS pants too, nothing beats big soft undies!

Those maternity leggings look really comfortable! I also think many pregnant women would benefit from using Tiger Balm.

These are all really important essentials for pregnancy. When it comes to prenatal supplements I prefer the natural based ones with no artificial fake additives.

Hands up for the Manduka mats! I have two. One I keep at home, and one I keep in my trunk for teaching classes. Love Manduka mats

One of my best friends recently announced her pregnancy. Now I know what to buy for her! Thanks for this list.
