Desi Style Masala French Toast

Desi Style Masala French Toast

One of my favorite Sunday morning breakfasts is FUCKING FRENCH TOAST.

Justin makes the best FFT. Its light, soft and fluffy and filled with warm baking spices, LOTS of butter and of course, maple syrup.

Of course, I have to find a way to Indian-ify everythinggggg.

One of my fave Indian breakfasts is a chili omelet. My mom used to make chili omelets on Sundays when we were growing up, with a side of toast and a cup of chai.

I took the flavors of the omelet; chili, onion, cilantro + spices & mixed it wit Justin’s version  of french toast to create a play on savory and sweet!

Desi Style Masala French Toast

The vanilla and cinnamon  in the french toast play well with the salty zing of chaat masala and warmth of the garam masala + the syrup helps to cool your mouth against the chili’s.

You can make so many fun variations of this dish by adding veggies or fresh fruit to play off the savory and sweet.

Hope you enjoy!
