Chocolate Hummus to Satisfy That Sweet Tooth

Chocolate Hummus

Hi.

So, I have a total sweet tooth.

I don’t know about you, but I’m that person that craves something chocolatey after dinner.

It’s actually a really bad problem.

I really love fruit but sometimes you just need something extra. That’s when chocolate hummus comes into play!

I first saw chocolate hummus on an Episode of Shark Tank last year. Honestly, is kinda sounded yuck. Chocolate and chickpeas?

but I was curious, you know?

I have seen it at Whole Foods and Trader Jo’s, but for $7 a pop, is pretty pricey.

The concept seemed pretty easy so I grabbed a can of chickpeas, unsweetened dark chocolate powder and wildflower honey, which all cost around $7 together. Not to mention the multiple uses you can make out of the powder and honey.

This snack reminds me of chocolate frosting, in texture and in flavor. Although it isn’t exact, I mean, you are still eating chickpeas, it is tasty!

Chickpeas are full of protein and fiber and are a great antioxidant. Mixed with the dark chocolate powder, chocolate and honey, they make a really taste treat to satisfy that sweet tooth.

The best part of this recipe is that you can customize it any way you want. Add nuts, fruit, ooooohhh, Nutella?

OPTIONS.

Talk to you soon!

It makes sense to put chocolate and chickpeas together. It’s not something that would come to mind but it does work. This hummus is a must try plus it’s healthy! What more can you ask for, right?

I loooooove hummus but I just can’t imagine mixing it with chocolate. I have terrible sweet tooth since I passed the 20th week mark in my pregnancy, and this could be something really healthy to satisfy the craving, so I must give it a try. Thank you for sharing the recipe!

This is the second time in the last couple of weeks that I have seen humus blended with an interesting flavor. Although with this one I would think about it more as a dessert. And the apple slices look like the perfect pairing. I will have to try this out with my daughter.

Sweet humour? Why have I never thought of this? I’ve always enjoyed savoury hummus, especially roasted garlic and red pepper but chocolate?! Omg
