Chicken Tikka Masala Sliders
HAPPY HUMP DAY Y’ALL!!

I am super excited today because I have BRAND NEW content coming at ya, alllll month long.

Woo hoo!

Brand new…

E A T S

L I F E S T Y L E pieces and…

P R E T T Y Things!!

I can barely contain my excitement. But seriously.

So it’s been a week since we last talked. I missed you!

How are things?

Anything fun over the 3 day MLK weekend?

J and I went to Big Bear with some friends and shredded all weekend! The snow dumped all day Friday so we woke up to blue bird skies, fresh powder and a full day of skiing.

Justin had his first experience on skis…you guy’s…he was fucking amazing.

too legit.

I have been skiing on and off since I was 8. Getting back into it was like riding a bike, but J…he killed it!

He’s pretty much a boss at most things.

Anyway, that’s enough compliments for him [insert sheepish face here]. Don’t want him to get a big head!

So a few weekends ago I tested out a shit ton of recipes for you all and gave you a behind the scenes look at what was going down first hand via Instagram (@sweetandmasala) and Snapchat (@komaliii)

Some of you were uber curious about the Chicken Tikka Masala slider recipe so I decided to share this first!

Chicken Tikka Masala Sliders

Usually chicken tikka masala is prepped in chunks and smothered in a creamy tomato yogurt sauce, spiced with onions, garlic and other spices. It is served over rice or with a piece of naan or roti.

This time though I wanted to switch it up and have a little fun so I made a slider topped with a cucumber yogurt sauce, otherwise known as raita, and pickled onions!

Ok. Before you get too overwhelmed thinking of all the spices that go into chicken tikka masala, just take a deep breath, relax and head on over to Spicemode.

Spicemode is this awesome global spice company that specializes in handcrafting Indian sauces and spices to help cut down cook time while reaching full authentic flavor from your dish.

Chicken Tikka Masala Sliders

Personally, I love building flavor from scratch. It takes time, but it’s worth it. Sometimes though, understandably, there isn’t enough time and all you want to do is get a delicious, quick authentic meal on the table.

Spicemode has a ready to go Chicken Tikka Masala seasoning bottle. It is a great blend of selected herbs which are perfectly balance with hints of citrus and garlic. This seasoning truly gives me the flavor of a marinated piece of chicken cooked in the tandoor. The best part is that you can add this seasoning to just about anything and it will taste good!

I combined a few tablespoons of the spice blend with minced chicken and garlic, freshly grated ginger and a little salt.

After making small patties I added them to the griddle with a little oil to sizzle and cook.

TOLD YA THIS WAS EASY.

Once the patties were cooked I added Jalapeno King Hawaiian rolls to the griddle for a little toasty action.

Yeah guys, that’s it.

Chicken Tikka Masala Sliders

To fancy it up top it with some homemade RAITA (click me for recipe); plain yogurt, spices and cucumber.

To get even fancier add some freshly pickled onions (recipe coming next week) and chilis for heat.

And then you are done!

A quick, healthy meal finished in 10 minutes. What is better than that?

What are some of your go to authentic recipes that can be shortened down and made more convenient and modern?
