The older I’ve got the more into makeup I have got! I used to buy my makeup at the grocery store only. I didn’t dare to walk into MAC or Sephora, because I had no idea what the hell I was looking for or how to use anything in the store.
OK, so, I still don’t know how to use most of the things in the store, BUT I have upgraded a few things including graduating from Stop and Shop makeup to Target makeup, with the occasional Sephora throw in.
I’m becoming an adult.
Anyways. Since I am at total ghost status I have been asked what make up I use to match my super, duper fair complexion, and what better way to answer those questions, then with a blog post!
First I start with a little love on my under eye. I absolutely am in love with my under eye concealer from IT Cosmetics.
It has full-coverage, and gives off a slight glow to keep your eyes looking fresh and those bags hidden.
The best part is, it doesn’t just conceal it helps reduce the dark circles and those nasty wrinkles + it gives you under eye a more even skin tone.
On a personal note, IT is one of my faves because all of their products are cruelty-free.
Stop testing on animal’s damnit!
Next I skip right into my foundation.
Again, another IT product:
Why I Love IT.
IT gives me fill coverage that lasts allllll day. Like, no joke. Plus it has an SPF of 50+ (remember when I said I am pale AF) and it has a touch of glow to it which keeps my face looking bright and alive instead of dull and uneven.
It has the usual anti-aging properties and is packed with collagen which keeps your skin firm and tight. Thankfully it is also a pore minimizer.
I like to keep my eyes pretty simple during the work week and occasionally I’ll doll them up for a night out.
The Sephora brand palettes are some of my faves. They have so many styles and colors to choose from which include tutorials inside the palette itself! That is SUPER helpful to someone like me who wants to try adventurous colors and techniques, but doesn’t know how.
The directions are super easy to follow so don’t be scared to shake your eye look up!
My newest obsession that I use every damn day is my Anastasia eyebrow gel.
My friend Julia introduced me to this stuff this past summer while we were in Italy, and let me tell you, it has changed my life!
In general I am super hairy (Indian girl problems) and I am V lazy when it comes to waxing my brows.
I try to pluck and keep them maintained on a daily basis, but honestly, when you have as much hair as I do you need some extra help.
This brow gel, in clear (I always get clear because my brows are so dark and bushy. If you have light brows picking a gel with tint might be helpful so that you can fill in those areas of your brow) helps set, define, and hold your brows in place all day long.
They don’t move so you never have to worry about stray hairs sticking out!
It is also filled with chamomile which conditions the brow hair and sets it off Kim K style with a lustrous, natural look.
Although I use It Cosmetics under eye concealer, I like to use ELF’s highlighter. The highlighter instantly brightens up your under eye with an angelic like look.
Sometimes I use this highlighter all over my face. It works great as light contouring tool on your nose and cheekbones too!
Confessional: I have been using the same mascara for about 8 years now (Maybelline Illegal Lash)and although it works AMAZINGLY I want to try something new! I am looking for suggestions on mascara that gives length and volume and is less than $30. ALSO looking for bronzer suggestions. Again, white AF, so it can’t be too dark!
What is a ride or die makeup tool, kit, application that you like? I need to start building up my makeup bag more!
