You guys know I am food crazed.
Some would say obsessed.
Hey, I’m a growing girl. I like to eat, OK.
On Monday I told you all that I am on the hunt for the best Mexican restaurant in Boston, here, which got me thinking about allllllll the other restaurants I’ve wanted to try.
Boston is such a melting pot of cultures and diversity, so, of course, I don’t expect anything else from the food scene.
Here is what I am looking for:
The Usual Suspects;
Mexican, Indian, Italian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese.
These types of cuisine are a dime dozen, but what else is there?!
I am feeling adventurous towards different countries and what they have to offer!
Peruvian, Ethiopian, Vietnamese, Argentinian, Slovakian, Latvian, Philappino, Spanish, South African, Caribbean, French, Moroccan and of course any other suggestions you guys have for me!
Side Note: I love, love, love RAMEN, so any authentic place you know of, OR a restaurant for soup dumplings! (Gourmet Dumpling House in Chinatown is one of my faves!)
I know I am all over the place here, but when it comes to food I can’t help it!
Take a look at my list below and give me your opinions!! Yay, nay? What should I order? Any other restaurant recommendations?
Let the Boston “Stuff Your Face” Bucket List Commence!
Mexican:
Street Corn and charred octopus tacos. Get. At. Me.
Chipotle and Orange marinated Pork Chop? Yes please.
Carne Asada alllllll day.
Indian:
Obsessed for a good lunch buffet.
Tandoori everything. Chicken, Fish, whatever. I’ll eat it.
Malai Kofta and do it yourself stone cooking? I am there!
Italian:
Pearly glass tiles, seafood dishes and a killer cocktail list. Sounds like a good night to me.
Gnocchi made from cassava root? Say What?! A little of Peru in the North End!
Try the squid ink messinesi with sea beans, Calabrian chili, bronze fennel, confit tomato, mahogany clams, squid, and lobster. Nuff said.
Thai:
Chewy crispy pork and skin cracklings. My mouth is salivating.
Khao Sarn
Do-it-yourself dish that lets you wrap a few flakes of baked coconut, roasted peanuts, and tiny dried shrimp in a spinach leaf and finish with a dollop of sweet sauce and a squeeze of lime…sounds like a flavor bomb in my mouth!
Siam House
Fresh seafood dishes and a celebration of Phuket.
Chinese:
Chinese flatbreads? How interesting!
Qingdao Garden
Their dumplings sound amazing! Soup dumplings, poultry, seafood, red meat. What a variety!
I am usually picky about pork buns, but here they are served with mustard greens and sugary sweet peanuts. YASSSSS.
Japanese:
Tapas style Japanese food. Small things are so fun!
There are a lot of good sushi places in Boston, but I hear this one is a gem!
Tatsukichi
Egg Custard Soup. No idea what that it is, but Im’a eat it!
For the ones below I need your help!!! Where are the best places to eat?!? I haven’t heard much about the Boston food scene and these types of cuisine. Help a sister out.
Peruvian
Ethiopian
Vietnamese
Argentinian
Slovakian
Latvian
Filipino
Spanish
South African
Caribbean
French
Moroccan
Now that have successfully made my mouth water over all these delights, it’s time to put the list into action.
On Thursday I will be going to the first restaurant on this list, The Painted Burro.
I will report back in the next few weeks, with which Mexican restaurant was my fave out of the three above.
In the meantime, a girl can never have too many suggestions!

Yum. I love food too!! My fave Italian place when I went to Boston was Antico Forno (so much, we went there twice instead of trying somewhere else!). I can’t wait to see your results from all of these other authentic places! <3
