I was having an issue with writers block until I saw this tagged list on Facebook.
With the year coming to a close I wanted to end it on a positive note. Whether you year was good, bad, or just meh, I think we can all agree there are some things in life that can keep us happy no matter what the year is. I feel that a lot of us focus on the negative and are stressed so easily, (I’m really talking about me) that’s why I am so excited to do this! So here are 50 things that make me happy:
My parents and brother are cool…i guess..no, really, i love them!
He is truly amazing. He will do anything to make me happy, but all it takes is his cute little face, his nerdy, random science knowledge, and a few smooches.
As I have gotten older my friend group has begun to shrink and I am completely OK with that! I have a handful of close friends and couldn’t be any happier about it!
I love the excitement of getting onto a plane, taking off, and landing on the other side of the world.
If you know me, this is what I LOVE TO DO.
Hosting dinner parties:
Since I love to cook, I love to entertain. My friends usually come over weekly for a home cooked dinner.
Thrillers, mysteries, trashy love novels, comedies, fiction, and non-fiction. The list goes on.
Nothing beats a dance sesh. Who cares how you look, just move!
The sound of rain.
The smell of rain.
Seasons in general:
I currently live in San Diego where seasons are non-existent. I love the feeling of the seasons changing. It is always so exciting.
No explanation needed here.
I want a little Shiba Inu and am desperately missing my family dog Ria and our late Simba.
Floating the river.
It’s not summer without a backyard BBQ with all your friends.
Going to the movies:
I love all types of movies, and yes, I have HBO and Netflix, but going to the theater, kicking my feet up on the chair in front of me with a big tub of buttery popcorn with peanut M&M’s….AMAZING!
Biking by the beach:
Living in San Diego has it perks, such as the “bike-highway” on the beach. Nothing like seeing the sand, sun and ocean as the wind blows through your hair. Your bike just isn’t complete with a basket in the front 🙂
Chocolate Milkshake and Fries:
Chocolate ice-cream with salty, crunchy fries dipped into it….I.AM.SALAVATING.
If you don’t know what this stands for, that’s ok. It’s my guilty pleasure.
21 Along with #20:
Keeping up with the Kardashians:
These shows make me happy by being entertaining and mindless. Everyone needs a little break sometime.
ALL THINGS SPICY:
My friends think that my taste buds are burnt off; I think they have no taste for flavor.
My mom’s cooking:
No matter what she makes it always seems to taste good! She can make a plain turkey sandwich taste like gold. Mom, how do you do it?!
Spending time alone.
Getting a gel mani.
Getting a pedi.
Getting my hair cut.
She gets me.
(see what I did there?)
Giving/Helping other people.
Best feeling in the world!
Going to London and eating yummy Indian food.
Cooking shows make me happy. I think you get it.
Reading a book for the first time:
Reading can take you so many places. I love getting lost in a god book.
Falling asleep on the couch with my boyfriend.
My dad’s non-sense jokes.
Learning about food from my brother.
Doing my daily PIYO workout to help keep me fit!
Taking my bra off at the end of a long day.
You reading this.
My future <3
Now you know me a little better. What are some things that make you happy?
Have a great new year! xx
