I am getting all the winter feels right now, especially with all my new winter clothes!
I did DAMAGE at Express a few weeks ago and I got so many fun pieces ON.THE.CHEAP.
I got this super cute cold shoulder long sleeve top even though it’s freezing in Boston (20 degrees today).
I am V into it!
I know I have talked about Express leggings quite a bit, but hey, when you find a good product you stick with it!
I got my second pair of standard black leggings, a pair of red leggings with cut outs on the bottom and a pair of cotton grey ones.
The cotton ones are def one of my favorite pairs. They remind me of a combination of sweat pants and leggings.
Honestly, if I was able to get away with wearing sweatpants on the reg….well, you would never see me change.
I was on a major sweater hunt since I don’t really own any….
When I moved to San Diego a few years back I re-did my whole wardrobe, getting rid of all my chunky knit sweaters and over-sized jackets.
Needless to say, that was a big mistake. Fast forward 3 years and a move back to Boston, I have been left shivering.
Sometimes I feel like shopping is such a process, you know?
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE getting new clothes. There is something about new clothes that has your chest puffed up a little higher and an ear to ear grin. It’s just the “finding stuff” part that sucks.
New clothes give me an unspoken confidence, plus its nice not have the same outfit on in several pictures in a row.
It got to a point this summer that every picture I was tagged in on Facebook I was wearing this long, blue, boho style dress.
Legit. Every picture was the same, and yes, all the pictures were taken different days.
I am not saying not to outfit –repeat…..I mean, who can afford to do that realistically? All I want to diversify my looks. So, when I went to Express I was on a mission to find a few different sweaters that I could pair nicely with a pair of new jeans and several leggings that I wear on rotation.

The other thing I love about Express, besides being affordable, is that they carry petite sizes!
I am so sick of hearing that I am “so lucky” to be “petite.”
Listen up people. It is SO hard to shop for adult style clothes when you are 5ft.
I often end up shopping in the juniors section most of the time. I am 29 and would like to dress my age. Fashionable, but looking like a 29 year old.
You can buy jeans in ‘short’ at Express and they carry XS sizes of shirts and sweaters.
I got a pair of the skinny grey jeans, and they fit perfectly around the ankle and no hemming was necessary! Not to mention they look great with a pair of cute booties.

So I just get a haul in of Kourtney Kardashian’s new line, Pretty Little Things, which I am obsessed with!!

Love switching seasons & getting new clothes! I don’t like the cold much – but I love all the warm comfy clothes like the ones you’ve shared.

I love a shop that has petite section I am 5.1 and it’s a struggle! All my pants are on the floor 🙂 I finally find a bunch of brands that have good sizes and Express sounds amazing! Will check them out!

I haven’t wore a knitted in jumper in years… I am not a fan of heavy jumpers, I usually just wear a tshirt and a coat on top. But then again, where I live is not that cold. It’s great that you have found a shop where they do your size.

Awesome collection of sweaters which you can pair with your skinny jeans. I love cold because I can wear any coat over my every day top and no one will notice that I am wearing my old top.
